Grace Moments

In the New Testament, religion is grace and ethics is gratitude.

Journeying on towards counting 1000 everyday gifts from the Giver of all...

Family

Children decorate our Christmas tree
with a fire crackling, music playing,
and home-made pumpkin bread nearby.

Grandma, 102 years old

Grandma, dressed from head to toe
in her favorite color, purple,
started a game of peek-a-boo with me
during our Thanksgiving visit.
It was great to share some laughter,
help her with her hurting feet,
and sing hymns to her
as she held the hymn book with me.
(See gift #242 here)

Chuckles

Enjoying my 13 year old daughter's
thinking outside the box
and seeing her learning
come to light in an unusual way
when I saw her response
to an email questionnaire:

2. What is your favorite animal? either horses or cheese
(cheese is mold and mold is living bacteria and bacteria are animals)

(Actually, I think bacteria are a special case
and have their own classification separate from animals,
thus putting to end the ancient question
of whether they are animals or plants.)
