Snowflakes
.
.
.
.
Glistening gifts
Of ice and cold,
.
.
.
.
.
.
Whether in silence or storm,
Whether seen or scorned,
They descend, are given
.
.
.
.
.
.
As we bundle up
And hide ourselves
From their penetration.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Freeze time,
For just
A moment.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Give a glance ~
It's all the time
They have to give ~
.
.
.
.
.
.
And see the chiseled wonder
Of a single glint
In their Creator's sparkling eye
.
.
.
.
.
.
As He looks upon us
With showers of grace,
.
.
.
.
.
.
Of mercy's lace.
.
.
.
.

Came over from Ann's.
Have you seen that book Snowflakes? Really marvelous, amazing... and, yes, whispers of another place.
L.L. ~
I don't think I've seen the book "Snowflakes." I have read "Snowflake Bentley" by Jacquwline Briggs Martin, a delightful book written for children (that I really enjoyed as well) about Wilson Bentley who may have been the first (or one of the first) photographers of snowflakes. You can also see many of his original photos on the web (just Google it) and they are royalty free to use. They were in black and white, of course.
Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Hello. I've just come by from Ann's blog. beautiful words you've written here.
causing me to stop... to think, "when was the last time I really looked closely at one of these beauties from the Lord"
I love this...
"As time stills
I see the whisper
Of another Place."
Next time it snows... I will stop... and see.
thank you.

Thank you for visiting and sharing. I find myself having to remind myself often to stop... and see, as you've written. Let us continue to encourage one another along the journey...
To Him be all the glory,
Sharaya
